OBJECTIVE:
To become familiar with the social classes, housing and clothing styles, food and drink, recreational activities, educational system, and means of transportation and communication in Colonial America.

TIME:
1 class period

Students participate in a fun and challenging contest to see who can correctly answer the most words, names, and terms in a series of 50 questions. While doing so, class members learn much about the way of life of settlers in Colonial America during the 1600s and 1700s. Students may be given an opportunity to work individually or with a partner.

Answers are selected from a list of words, names, and terms on the first page of the activity.
